Hotel Hot List: Capella Telluride

Hotel Hot List: Capella Telluride

A newcomer to Telluride’s Mountain Village, Capella opened at the end of last season. It’s the first U.S. hotel in the luxury chain’s portfolio. Attentive service, including a personal assistant stationed in the Capella Living Room lounge, maintains an intimate feel despite the lodge’s 100 guestrooms and 60 condos. Rooms are generous, with extra storage and large bathrooms with soaking tubs. Evenings, guests hit the Suede Bar for cocktails then head to Onyx for sophisticated mountain-inspired fare or out the door to the gondola and down to Telluride’s downtown.
