Loveland, CO, Nov. 10, 2000--Recent storms have helped create outstanding snow conditions in the Rockies and the additionof World Cup racers from Europe are expected to create blue-ribbon entry fields Nov. 11-12 when the Chevy Truck SuperSeries opens at Loveland Ski Area.

"The entries are still coming in, but we've gotten commitments from the Austrians and Norwegians," said Super Series managerSarah Bergstrom. "The Slovenians, who also have a stacked slalom team, have given us their entry forms, and so has ClaudiaRiegler from New Zealand. It'll be a packed field, some great racing."

Officials expect more than 15 foreign teams will be entered in the two days of slalom racing at the Loveland Valley section ofLoveland Ski Area; men's first run starts each day at 9 a.m., women's first run starts at 10:45.

"They've made snow in addition to these last couple of storms, so Loveland's good to go," Bergsrtrom said Friday.

More than two dozen members of the U.S. Ski Team and development squad will be racing, including Erik Schlopy (Park City,Utah), Sacha Gros (Vail, CO), Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), and, among others, Chip Knight (New Canaan, CT) as well asSarah Schleper (Vail, CO), Alex Shaffer (Park City, UT), Caroline Lalive (Steamboat Springs, CO) and a talented teenthreesome - Lindsey Kildow (Vail, CO), Julia Mancuso (Tahoe City, CA) and Hilary McCloy (Waitsfield, VT). In addition,Kristina Koznick (Burnsville, MN), who is skiing independently this season, is expected to race.

Among the Europeans likely to compete in the races, which will serve as tuneups for the Chevy Truck America's Opening racesNov. 16-19 at Utah's Park City Mountain Resort:

Men: Austrian Benjamin Raich, Slovenian Matjaz Vrhovnik, Didier Plaschy of Switzerland and Canadian Jean-Philippe Roy.

Women: defending slalom champion Spela Pretnar of Slovenia and '00 runnerup Christel Saioni of France, Sweden's AnnaPaerson (No. 3 a year ago) and Canadian Allison Forsyth.
