Steamboat Springs, Colo. Dec. 20, 2001 (AP)--Jumper Alan Alborn and Nordic combined skier Todd Lodwick locked up Olympic berths Wednesday by winning U.S. Ski Team Gold Cup events.

Alborn and Lodwick, 1998 Olympians in Nagano also collected $10,000 apiece.

Alborn had the longest jump in both rounds on the 114-meter Howelsen Hill to win with 238.7 points. He jumped 118.5 and 113.5 meters.

Clint Jones, was second on jumps of 115.5 and 110.5 for 226.4 points.

In the combined event, Lodwick led the jumping and was 48 seconds ahead of Bill Demong, at the end of the three-lap, 5-kilometer race.

Lodwick out-jumped Demong by 3.5 meters in the final round and was nine seconds ahead of him to start the 5K before adding to his lead on each lap.
