NEW YORK, NY Feb. 6, 2003 (USSA)--Olympic silver medalist Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), the first American man in over 30 years to win two medals at a World Championships and who also has a legitimate chance to earn four medals, is featured winning gold and silver on NBC's coverage of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, this weekend.
Saturday from 4-6 p.m. EST, NBC provides same-day coverage of the men's downhill. skiing's marquee event. Saturday's coverage also includes Miller's gold medal-winning performance in the alpine combined competition (downhill and slalom).
Sunday from 1-3 p.m. EST, NBC features same day coverage of the women's downhill and also includes Miller's silver medal performance in the super G, along with the Kirsten Clark (Raymond, ME) and Jonna Mendes (Heavenly, CA) earning silver and bronze medals, respectively, in super G.
NBC Olympic commentators Tim Ryan, Christin Cooper, Todd Brooker and Steve Porino will call the action.
Miller, 25, who has emerged as the world's best all-around skier and the first American in 20 years to challenge for skiing's overall World Cup title, also will be featured next weekend on NBC as he tries to add more medals to what could be a record American haul.

In a related development, NBC announced coverage of the FIS Freestyle World Championships at Utah's Deer Valley Resort, originally planned for Feb. 2 but preempted due to NBC News' Space Shuttle tragedy coverage, has been moved to Feb. 22, from 2-4 p.m. EST.
In addition, NBC said its World Championships skiing coverage continues on March 2, with the FIS Nordic World Championships from Val di Fiemme, Italy.
