Rage Weekend and 14th Annual Killington Triathlon
Mid-price registration extended to day-of event! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. Register from now until the day of the event for only $50 per individual or team member. Season Pass holders pay only $40.
Third World will perform live reggae music in conjunction with the Triathlon on Sunday. More details follow, so read on!
FIRST LEG UPDATE!!
As many are aware, we have experienced an earlier than usual melt on Superstar. This will make skiing and riding impossible as the first leg of the triathlon. The first leg will now be a short run of about 1/2 mile. The run will start just uphill from the Killington Halfpipe and proceed up a work road for a couple hundred yards. This portion will be uphill. The course will then take a left into the woods on a single-track style trail and proceed downhill, with some flat sections, toward the waterslide.
Competitors will then transfer to a 5 1/2 mile mountain bike ride held on a lower elevation loop.
After the completion of the mountain bike section a 2 1/2 mile cross country run will finish off the competition.
Compete as an individual or a team of three. Prizes awarded for top three male and female competitors in five age divisions. Top three teams in two age divisions will also take home great prizes.
Monday, we will host the Killington Klimb, a race to the top of Killington Peak. The fastest times are often around twenty minutes! Registration is the day of the event and costs $10.
On Sunday, Third World will perform outside at Killington Base Lodge. Formed in 1973, this excellent reggae band hailing from Jamaica, combines Jamaican reggae and folk music with all strains of African rhythms, American pop, rhythm & blues, and classical music.
Lodging for the weekend starts at just $19 per person, per night based on 4 people in a one bedroom condominium, minimum of a 2 night stay. Call 1-800-4-KTIMES to book.
