Three Great Movies Storm the Country

Boulder, CO, Oct. 25, 2000--Just as the snow arrives and ski areas open, three great ski movies are showing on screens around the country to get you pumped (in case you weren't already) for the season to come.

Warren Miller Entertainment dives into their second half-century of producing ski films with their newest movie RIDE, premiering October through December. A conglomeration of the best video crews, elite winter athletes, and the prime settings across the globe combine with stellar music to make it clear that Warren Miller's just been warming up these past 50 years.

Teton Gravity Research provides another pre-season skiing fix with their latest film, Further. Adventure seekers can catch Further at one of 47 AMC Theaters around the country, starting October 13. With their "Adrenaline Theaters", as AMC coined them, viewers can watch the action on a 35mm, huge screen with surround sound. This is a big step for Teton Gravity Research since their film tour usually resembles a road-trip with precious video in tow.

"It's going to be insane. This is the first ski film in years to be released in 35 mm format. We re-mastered the audio in surround sound. It is going to be the highest quality delivery we've offered to date. Imax style, like Everest and Extreme," said head TGR cinematographer Dirk Collins.

Matchstick Productions adds the appropriately named Ski Movie to the list of ski movies this Fall. With Morrison, McConkey, Moseley, Dorion, and Auclair vying for big air in Whistler, Chamonix, and Mt. Baker, plus crazy snow-mobiling footage and continuous humor, this Ski Movie is not to be missed. This film can be viewed at theaters across the country or it can also be purchased for $27 at Matchstick Productions' web-site.
