Boulder, CO, Sept. 18--United Airlines is offering immense savings on airfare around the country, making for an ideal opportunity to visit a ski resort this fall. Until Sept. 22 passengers can purchase fares on United or United Express at up to 50 percent off for travel through Dec. 14, 2000.

Passengers can also cash in on additional savings and miles bonuses by booking reservations over United's web site,, by Sept. 22.

United services Burlington, VT; Portland, ME; Manchester, NH; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; and Jackson Hole, WY among other cities in close proximity to major ski areas perfect for a weekend getaway, mountain festival, or Thanksgiving holiday.

For example, a round-trip ticket from Boston to Denver that regularly costs $454 now costs $288 by phone and $273.60 over the internet. These flights also come with 1,000 bonus miles and an extra 3,000 miles for first-time bookings over the internet.

Discounted rates come after a summer of customer service related problems and grievances. However, operation improvements, slimed down flight schedules, and progressing relations with pilots and ground crews are likely to draw back weary travelers.
