Forget Fort Lauderdale and Panama City. The best spring flings happen slopeside, from one-day events (like the Aerosmith Snow Sculpture Day at Mt. Sunapee on March 11) to parking-lot parties that last until the snow melts (à la Arapahoe Basin). In between, you'll find a slew of festivities that combine warm days and wild nights, empty slopes and crowded dance floors, soft snow and skimpy outfits. Party on.
Attitash Bear Peak, New Hampshire
SPRING MANIA 2000, March 18-April 1
Things should get truly goofy during the 7th Annual On Snow Golf Tourney (April 1), when costume-clad skiers and boarders are invited to "play" (i.e., ski and ride) a nine-hole course and then laugh about it at a post-tourney reggae party.
Jay Peak, Vermont
BEACH PARTY WEEKEND, March 25-26
Now in its 20th year, Jay Peak's annual spring bash is as famous for its attendees-disc jockeys from Montreal, members of the O.C. (Out of Control) Ski Club from Albany-as it is for outrageous antics like the frozen T-shirt contest.
KIRKWOOD JAMMIN', April 15-23
What's spring without putting on a costume and trying to ski, ride, and/ or swim across a pond full of slush-saturated water? This invigorating late-season event also includes big-air contests, plenty of music, and daily food and drink specials.
Mammoth Mountain, California
SPRING SNOWSPLASH, March 23-26

SURF THE ROCKIES, March 27-April 9
Two full weeks of Hawaiian-style partying, complete with pink flamingos, snow volleyball, and a bikini slalom. The whole town turns out for the annual Main Street Dance (April 7), and you can score free skiing (April 1-9) during the resort's Ski Free & More program.
SNOWMASS SPRING JAM, March 31-April 2
We're talking three days of tunes, tweaks, and tabletop hits in the heart of Trenchtown, Snowmass' premier terrain park. Compete in one of the events-skiercross, big air, or slope-style-or just tan at the snow beach.
WICKED BIG SPRING BASH WEEKEND, April 15-16
Following on the heels of the resort's ever-popular Reggae Ski Bash (April 7-9), the Loaf's newest combines discounted lift tickets, continuous live music, and everything from on-snow rafting and mountain biking to big-air and dummy-downhill events.
Sun Valley, Idaho
SOL FEST, March 29-April 2
The new kid on the spring-bash block, this event promises plenty of fun in the sun with daily on-mountain events and live nightly music. While you're at it, check out the celebrity skiers (like Stein and Clint) as they compete in the third annual Bill Janss Pro Am Classic (March 30-April 1).
Whistler, British Columbia
WORLD SKI & SNOWBOARD FESTIVAL, April 14-23
