Here's the lowdown on skiing Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe.Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe 1,300 skiable acres; 1,800 vertical feet; 400 annual inches; 59 runs; seven lifts, including two high-speed six-packs. Tickets: adults $52, teens (13-17) $32, children (6-12) $12; kids under 5 are free. Value Pass, $800, juniors (15 and under) $400.

Getting There Reno-Tahoe International Airport handles flights from almost everywhere. From downtown Reno, hop on Route 395, the main north-south artery through town. It leads directly into 431, a.k.a. the Mt. Rose Highway. The road is curvy, but it leads straight to the area.
