The Hook
Mount Snow looks poised to deliver the best spring skiing in New England. The southern Vermont giant was acquired by St. Louis–based Peak Resorts last April. And if there's one thing Midwestern mountain managers know, it's how to make snow. "That's our greatest strength," says Peak president Tim Boyd. The Deal
Spring ski-and-stay packages at participating lodges start at $70 per person per night. Blackout dates apply (

Don't Miss
Reggae Fest, the weekend of March 29–30. Festivities include the usual spring antics: pond-skimming, cardboard-box derby, outdoor music and plenty of soft corn-snow bumps.
