The sun’s going down, but you aren’t ready to rack your skis just yet. If you’re at Oregon's Mt. Hood Meadows, you’re in luck. This season, the resort introduces its Meadows After Dark night skiing program, illuminating 140 acres of runs five nights a week (Wednesday – Sunday) from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. With live music Saturdays and Sundays in January and February, you won’t have to leave the slopes to enjoy a rockin’ night out.
Lift tickets are only $25, or sign up for the Learn to Ski package for the same price (includes a two hour lesson, equipment rentals, and access to the Buttercup beginner lift). Bring the kids along for the Twilight Kids Club: $65 gets kids ages 4–12 a two hour lesson, lift ticket, and supervision until 7 p.m., plus one free adult lift ticket. Throw in an extra $5 for your own rentals and $8 for dinner, and you've got yourself one heck of a night away from the kids.
