Hop Garden
A menu that lists Bangkok shrimp tempura next to German waffle fries is tough to categorize as anything other than eclectic. Equally diverse is the international beer list with a heavy German and Bavarian influence. Formerly the Skier’s Union, the Garden’s now operated by the ski resort, but the old favorite Skier’s Union burger—a blend of sirloin, tenderloin and ribeye—is still the heart of the menu. New last winter, the outdoor Octagon bar pours beers and cocktails on a convivial patio at the base of the Village Express. On winter weekends and most summer afternoons, there’s live music on the patio as well.
