If there’s a better way to celebrate Father’s Day than skiing, drinking, and tucking into a BBQ feast, it’s news to us. If that formula works for you, head to Snowbird, Utah, June 19-20.
As part of the 2nd Annual Brewfest, 12 Utah breweries (yes, there are many—and good ones, too) will pour local beer to the tunes of free live music from noon until 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 19.
On Saturday and Sunday, skiers can get in one more weekend of turns on Regulator Johnson, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., accessed from the Little Cloud lift.
Sunday's Father's Day BBQ, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is an all-you-can-eat concert, with more free music from Blues on First. (If these four major food groups aren’t in your summer training regimen—pork ribs, pork shoulder, beef brisket and chicken—well, you can always just stick to the fifth, which, of course, is beer.) BBQ attendees can enjoy a free tram ride to Hidden Peak.
If all that doesn’t all add up to a tasty Father's Day, we’re guessing that either you’re not a father—or a skier.
