New York, NY, Nov. 21, 2000--After only nine months, JetBlue airline has already impacted the travel industry. JetBlue is based out of New York's JFK airport and runs non-stop flights between New York and eleven other US cities, mostly in Florida, New York, and California. JetBlue's newest flights provide skiers with inexpensive high-comfort travel to premier destinations.
In September, JetBlue launched service from JFK to Burlington, VT. The flight is the only all-jet connection between the two cities and fares run as much as 69 percent less than other airlines. Fares begin at $49 one-way for a 14-day advance purchase and only $99 for walk-ups. From Burlington, skiers can access some of the East's best skiing--Stowe, Smuggler's Notch, Sugarbush, and Mad River Glen are within an hour and a half drive.
Former Middlebury, VT native turned Alta, UT ski bum, Jules Kesner, lauds JetBlue's expeditious service and unassuming amenities. Kesner conducted a great deal of business in New York City before heading west and has used JetBlue for both leisure and professional excursions. "No other airline compares. If you're going to fly, you might as well fly a cheap airline with a brand new fleet. Their service and employees are really amazing."
JetBlue's newest route services Utah's "Greatest Snow on Earth," an addition welcomed by Kesner and other frequent east-west travelers. Fares between JFK and Salt Lake City International Airport begin at just $99 each way. Considering all seats are leather, roomy, and equipped with 24-channel LiveTV, the JetBlue flights will quickly become popular routes. Eleven of the West's most acclaimed resorts are within an hour's drive from Salt Lake.
Advance purchase is not necessary for these flights, but seats are limited and early booking is recommended.
Connecting services to JetBlue's other locations are available for very reasonable one-way fares. For information about JetBlue, check out www.jetblue.com or call the reservation line at 1-800-JETBLUE.
