Bluewood starts off with the second highest base elevation in the state at 4,545 feet. From there it's a ride up the Skyline Express, the only lift to the 5,670 foot summit, to experience all that Bluewood has to offer. That is, more specifically, about 300 inches of pristine powder snow annually, 24 trails covering about 430 acres of terrain and a good mix of slopes for all ability levels. Bluewood is somewhat off the beaten path, meaning lift lines, especially on the weekdays, tend to be negligible and the powder tends to stick around for awhile. Plus, for the majority of the season, Bluewood is only open Wednesday through Sunday so you know you are getting fresh tracks if the snow fell in the early part of the week!
