Sugar Bowl got its start in 1938 with the backing of, among others, Walt Disney himself. Since then, this family owned mountain has grown into a full-fledged resort with over 1,500 acres of terrain, 84 runs and a 1,500 foot vertical drop. It averages over 40 feet of snow per year which means you'll find plenty of powder in all but the driest of winters. Dining and lodging on-site make Sugar Bowl a true destination resort.
