One of The Canyons’ greatest strengths can also be a weakness. For example, there is a perfect peak and ideal terrain for every kind of skier at this gigantic resort. But the lack of crowds on those peaks is partly due to the fact that it’s hard to get to them, or even from one canyon to another (the ski area boasts eight). “Great snow, huge mountain, good challenge, not crowded,” says one reader, echoing the sentiments of many others. However, as some added, “It is a little difficult to navigate—it can take a long time to get from one side of the resort to the other.” Remember, this is still Utah: The snow at The Canyons can rival that of its more famous Utah neighbors both in depth and quality. And the laughably short drive from baggage claim to the Flight of the Canyons Gondola (30 minutes) puts The Canyons at the front of the line for convenience, a key advantage these days.
