Boulder, CO, Dec. 3--A big snowstorm pushed its way from Southern California into Utah Thursday and its slowly moving into Colorado quenching a snow-thirsty land with over a foot-and-half of new snow.

Over the last 24-hours the snowstorm has been dumping on Utah, and the snow keeps coming down. Brian Head Resort reports 14-inches, one foot of new snow now rests on Brighton Ski Resort, Snowbird has 17-inches thus far, Solitude has 10-inches, and eight inches of powder awaits at The Canyons.

Over the weekend Colorado's San Juan Mountains could receive six to 12-inches of powder, one to two feet in Southern Colorado's Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the I-70 ski areas are looking at five to 12-inches. Snow may even reach as far south as northern New Mexico, a region yet to see any significant snow this season.

As many ski areas in the Rockies have been firing their snow guns whenever possible while waiting for the real thing, all ski areas in its path give this storm a warm welcome.
