Snowbird, Utah (May 9, 2003 - News Release) Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort will remain open weekends through at least Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. Utah's only resort open forskiing and riding, Snowbird has received more than two feet of snow alreadyin May with continued snowfall expected this weekend.

Weekend skiing and riding at Snowbird is $25/day and is open 8:30 a.m. to2:30 p.m. Park this weekend near the Snowbird Center; park in lower GadValley lot for May 17-18 and May 24-26.

Snowbird's late-season skiing and snowboarding is not for beginners. Onlyadvanced terrain is available from the Little Cloud chairlift.

Snowbird has received 25 inches of snow so far in May, six less than theentire month of January 2003 (31"). Forecasters are calling for 2-6 inchesat Snowbird overnight with continuing showers Saturday.
