With his @JerryOfTheDay Instagram account flying high, Colton Hardy is doing what any social-media-savvy millennial would do.
He’s a former racer and lifelong skier whose dad was on the U.S. Ski Team. His day job is sales for a tech company in Vermont. He launched a blog as a prank in 2012 by poking fun at a college teammate. Now Colton Hardy has nearly 170,000 Instagram followers who can’t wait to see his photos of gapers in action. What gives?
The ideal family ski day is the perfect mix of slopes, sweets, and sleds. Right this way!
9 a.m.: The continental breakfast at Silver Lake Lodge has something for everyone, with cereals, pastries, and a delicious house-made cheddar biscuit with bacon and egg. From there it’s a quick ride up Quincy Express to Flagstaff Mountain’s family-embracing greens and blues.
10 a.m.: Stop for cocoa and fresh-baked cookies at Cushing’s Cabin, atop Flagstaff, to warm little hands and fill growling tummies.
From Japanese storms to old-world Alps exploration, DPS finds the goods in its ski-film shorts series "The Shadow Campaign: Volume II."
This year, DPS returns in the second Cinematic series as they ski in Japan, Italy, and Switzerland. The dream is chasing deep storms, and 2015 delivered as the skiers find cold, relentless Hokkaido storms, and old-world Alps exploration. And this year, Stephan Drake, Santi Guzman, Olof Larsson, and Piers Solomon join forces for timeless pow-riding magic.
DPS is releasing a short ski film every four weeks starting September 22. And we'll have them all right here.
