Lindsey Vonn and Maria Riesch were victorious at the women's World Cup in Lake Louise this weekend. Julia Mancuso finished strongly, too. "We've got the best downhill team in the world," she said at Saturday night's bib draw, before coming in third in the Super-G. We've got photos from the races.

After the downhill race was canceled, the US men struck out on the super G. Giant Slalom was a different story: Ted Ligety took first, and in a rare American first, Lindsey Vonn won the super G up north in Lake Louise.

While the men's world cup race at Beaver Creek was canceled due to wind, the women's team had a strong showing at Lake Louise. Lindsey Vonn, who came in second, was the fastest of the seven American women in the top 30. And both teams will be back for more tomorrow.

Lindsey Vonn placed 8th, and Resi Stiegler celebrated a return to the World Cup with 25th. Sweden's Maria Pietilae-Holmner clocked in at 1:46.19 for the first World Cup victory of her career.
