Copper Mountain, Colorado, recently hosted the Red Bull 1976 Games, in memory of when Denver was awarded the 1976 Olympic bid, but then activists and politicians campaigned against it and the Games moved to Innsbruck, Austria. Retro skiers dressed in bell bottoms and stretch pants competed in a snowbladecross and an old school air contest, throwing daffys, backscratchers, and the first-ever double-tandem-big-air jump. What's better than racing? Racing in wild costumes. From April 16-18, kids, parents and skiers gathered at the 50th Annual Loveland Derby at Loveland Ski Area, Colorado to race hard and celebrate the end of the season in style.

Wining and dining at 10,000 feet is a rite of spring at Vail, and a tasty way to cap off the ski season. From the Belgian Beer Lunch to the Aphrodisiac Food seminar, the weekend long event served up good times and great food. The best event: The Mountain Top picnic.
