Ski Resort Life

New Five-Resort $349 Pass

Come Hither: Alta, Aspen, Jackson and Squaw/Alpine team up.

The new motto for resorts this season just might be All for One, One for All, as four of the biggest names in the sport have banded together to offer a unique, unified ski pass. The new Mountain Collective pass, working with Liftopia, offers eight days of skiing at Alta, Aspen/Snowmass, Jackson Hole, and Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows for $349.

Sugarloafer Since 1995

Fill up your soul cup with the ultimate day at Sugarloaf in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.

My favorite part of the Sugarloaf employee uniform is that little subtitle on the employees’ nametags: “Sugarloafer Since ________.”  I still introduce myself accordingly when I’m in the Carrabassett Valley. “I’m Monica, Sugarloafer since 1995.”

An “Au Natural” Opening at Monarch Mountain on Friday
Monarch 15/16 Season
No snow making here: Colorado's Monarch will be open with 100% of its snow straight from mother nature.

With 20 inches of snow in the last seven days Monarch Mountain has set its opening day for Friday, Dec 2.

Operating since 1939, Monarch doesn’t believe in snow making. “We don’t make snow, Mother Nature does. Our flakes aren’t fake,” reads their snow report.
