The new motto for resorts this season just might be All for One, One for All, as four of the biggest names in the sport have banded together to offer a unique, unified ski pass. The new Mountain Collective pass, working with Liftopia, offers eight days of skiing at Alta, Aspen/Snowmass, Jackson Hole, and Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows for $349.
The Powder Click photo camp, put on by Ski Magazine, is the perfect excuse to up your photo game while spending a week skiing in Chile.
SKI Magazine and Skiing Magazine will host the 2015 Powder Click photo camp at Valle Nevado this year from August 21–28, offering an in-depth photography workshop for amateur photographers to hone their their action, lifestyle, and outdoor photography skills while skiing the powdery slopes of the Andes. Participants will be encouraged to nurture their creative side while at the same time expanding their technical knowledge and even learning how to get their images published.
"NASTAR is where most ski racers in America, including myself, were introduced to the thrill of going fast and competing on skis," says Ted Ligety, and that's what the partnership is designed to do.
The U.S. Ski Team is taking over operations of Nastar, one of the country's most well-known recreational ski racing programs. As part of the agreement, the U.S. Ski Team will assume day-to-day responsability of Nastar in an effort to capitalize on the success of U.S. Ski Team athletes and bring more awareness to ski racing.
Nastar, which was created by SKI Magazine, began more than 45 years ago and is now at 115 ski areas throughout the country with more than 165,000 racer days per year.
