Local's Guide to Aspen, Colorado

It sure seems like it’s all glam and glitz, but don’t let this iconic ski town fool you.

At first glance, Aspen doesn’t seem like it would pack that mean of a punch. Young moms in yoga pants chauffeur toddlers in expensive-looking strollers, men in fur coats sip coffee, and the Prada store radiates in the morning light. Sounds fairly innocent, right? Knee Injury Ends Vonn's Season

After crashing during Saturday’s super-G, the Olympic medalist sustained multiple knee fractures provoking her to end her season.

Lindsey Vonn announced, Wednesday, that she’s ending her ski season early after injuring her left knee in a crash during a super-G race in Andorra, Europe, on Saturday.

Initial x-rays showed that Vonn had a hairline fracture on the tibial plateau. Not posing a significant threat, she competed in the super combined the next day. She then had further x-rays revealed two additional fractures along her knee, so she decided to hang up her race skis for the season.

Cannon: Tram Fix Won't Be Quick and Easy

Forty-eight passengers stranded, then roped to safety, after historic Tram breaks down. No injuries reported. Reopening expected by weekend.

Officials at state-owned Cannon Mountain, N.H., said late Sunday that a problem with the drive motor on the historic Tramway caused it to break down on Valentine's Day, stranding 48 people for between 90 minutes and three hours in subzero temperatures.
