Jeep King of the Mountain Hits NBC

Heavenly, CA Feb. 15, 2005—NBC Jeep World of Adventure Sports will air highlights of the Jeep King of the Mountain racing series on Sunday, February 20, at 3:00 p.m. EST. Featuring some of the most spectacular resorts in the world, the Jeep King of the Mountain racing series has established a reputation for drawing the sport's most elite skiers and riders. At the final event in Heavenly, Lake Tahoe, CA, athletes will negotiate the event's unique Y-shaped racecourse to earn a spot on the podium and a record $150,000 in prize money.

From Telluride, Colo. to Snowbird, Utah to Mount Snow, Vt. and now the grand finale in Heavenly Lake Tahoe, CA, the worlds finest male and female ski and snowboard athletes put everything on the line to earn a share of the richest prize purse in professional snow sports.

Team USA skiing is headlined by 2004 Jeep King of the Mountain Champion, Casey Puckett and 12-year U.S. Ski Team member Heidi Voelker. Team USA Snowboarding features 2002 Olympic Bronze Medalist Chris Klug and five-time National Champion Rosey Fletcher.
