OLYMPIC VALLEY, CA - (News Release) - For those looking for a unique mountain experience, Squaw Valley offers guided Sunset Hikes every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the summer.

Sunset Hikes provide guests with the opportunity to experience the peace, tranquility and stunning beauty of the upper mountain in the evening twilight. A guide will lead hikers to the perfect spot on the crest of Squaw Valley's upper mountain to watch the exquisite sunset. Hikers will take in unmatched panoramic views of the Squaw Valley Meadow, beautiful Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada, lit with the backdrop of the setting sun.

The hikes begin from High Camp, el. 8200', at approximately 6:30 pm and cost $5 for adults and juniors and are free for kids 12 and under. An evening Cable Car & Hike Package is $14 for adults, juniors and seniors. Children ride the Cable Car for just $5. Sturdy shoes and warm clothes are recommended, and hikers are encouraged to bring water and a flashlight. All sunset hikers will be entered in a raffle to win a prize from The North Face.

Upcoming Sunset Hikes are scheduled for June 30 & July 1; July 7 & 8; July 14 & 15 and July 21 & 22. For more information on Sunset Hikes or Squaw Valley USA's Hiking Center, please call 530-583-6985 or visit
