Schweitzer Mountain
from Selkirkpowder
wrote 2 years 19 weeks ago
The Powder Adventure with Selkirk Powder and the Schweitzer Snow Sports School is scheduled for March 4, 2011.
Come to northern Idaho for the weekend and learn how to ski western powder by taking this unique lesson with professionals from PSIA and Idaho cat skiing and snowboarding guides!
Schweitzer could be called Red South to make it perhaps more understood.
So many people recognize Red but little have heard of Schweitzer. Why? Who cares! Just get the word now and make up your own mind.
This is a core skier's mountain; the first mountain of significance in the Selkirk Range, Schweitzer is a particular force for mother nature to overcome.
Here it snows and blows. Whiteouts are not uncommon due to snow or inversion, but the firs and pines go all the way to the summit and line the Selkirk's Crest for 50 miles before the Canadians take over the range. When the weather is clear - look out! It's on! When it's inclement, head for the woods.
With the front-end a skier's paradise added to our 3,000 acres of delicious cat skiing provided by Selkirk Powder Company there can't be a better choice for your next adventure.
