As for the Western Territories you must walk across the street and put your skiis back on in front of an expert only sign and then ski between orange caution tape that clearly states "experts only". then past a large chaulk board stating the conditions of the trails. Duh!! All daily trail updates (posted everywhere) state the trail conditions for that day. The ski conditions changes hourly on a west facing slope. A windy night walk to dinner usually means an icey day on the slopes and Snowshoe is very good at posting it! My husband and I ski Snowshoe quite abit. We grew up skiing New England and he is now stationed in VA. Snowshoe is a great, fun get away for us. They really treat military and thier family's fantastic!
