DINING OUT At the Woodstock Inn (603-745-3951): The Clement Room Grille serves a sumptuous breakfast and dinner entrees that include poultry, seafood, beef, pork, lamb and game; the Woodstock Station pub offers seafood, Mexican dishes, soups, salads, steaks, burgers, pasta and pizza; Woodstock Inn Brewery produces specialty brews and root beer to wash down pub grub. Elvio's Pizza (603-745-8817) serves excellent and inexpensive pizza and Italian food. For breakfast, try the Millway Café (603-745-6261) for fresh-baked breads and muffins or the all-you-can-eat buffet at Seasons on Loon at The Mountain Club (603-745-2244).

APRÈS-SKI Loon-ies' bar of choice is The Paul Bunyan Room in the Octagon lodge, a favorite of patrollers. The bar at The Common Man lays out a spread of huge cheese wedges, crackers and horseradish dip that attracts lively crowds; families like the slopeside Adventure Center for bonfires, storytelling and activities.
NIGHTLIFE Woodstock Station and the Timbermill Pub in the Millfront Marketplace both feature bands. Lincoln Cinema shows first-run movies on four screens.
ACTIVITIES Day and night tubing; nordic skiing on 35 km of trails groomed for traditional or skate-skiing; horseback riding through the woods along the Pemigewasset River; ice skating; snowshoeing;indoor and outdoor climbing walls.
CHILD CARE Half- and full-day nursery/day care is available for kids ages 6 weeks to 8 years old. Loon offers a full range of children's ski and snowboarding instruction.
