Ivar Dahl’s Cannon

Here’s the legendary New Hampshire hill, a proving ground for the likes of Bode Miller, as local Ivar Dahl knows it.

Ivar Dahl remembers Cannon as the place where you’d charge off the tram and race your friends to the bottom. Now, as Tecnica-Blizzard’s New England sales rep, he still sees young racers doing the same things at his home hill. Unofficially founded in 1929 when people skied logging roads and hiked back up, Cannon switched on its tram nine years later. Dahl grew up exploring the mountain’s nooks and crannies en route to becoming a Division I racer.
