Name: Timothy Winfield Diesel Dyer

Age: 39

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 170

Home hill: Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, NY

Day Job: Snow Ski and Board Shop Manager

What makes you qualified to test?: Skiing is in my DNA. It is all I want to do, and I have made a living doing it. Racing has built a strong background, which has complimented the newest ski designs. I am committed to watching the sport grow and evolving my skills along with it. I have an adept feel for a skis personality and who will like it while also keeping in mind if I love it, or want to throw it down a ravine!

Skiing background: On skis since 18 months old.  New York State USSA Ski racer, attended National sports Academy in Lake Placid New York for Ski racing, College Ski racer, alpine product manager for Fischer Sports, ski shop manager, avid beer league ski racer and Western wannabe!

Favorite type of terrain: Powder is the eclipse of this sport and that is my pick!  P.S.  don't tell anyone but I also have a thing for the corduroy! [Oops! Sorry Timmy. We forgot to take that part out.]

Ideal ski: Rossignol Soul 7 for pretty much everything!!!  Light, quite a bit of shape, ample rocker and innovative. I want a pair! Or the Head Titan.  Precise and powerful are the two words that come to mind!

Favorite part of the Skiing mag ski test: 20 plus runs a day!  I love when Skiing becomes my job!  Play hard, ski hard and let the cream rise to the top!

Funniest story from ski test (any year)?:  I have used my rental car as my hotel when at ski test. You have to be careful where you park your hotel... Some ski areas would rather not have you overnight (no names mentioned).

What don't people know about the ski test?: Every ski produced is not a winner. The time and energy put into releasing a ski model, then having it tested and not winning are the cold hard facts.  Coming from a former alpine product manager, I can tell you "this s*%t is real!

Why should people trust the Skiing mag ski test?: This is a group of people that want to get it right!  No blow offs here. "Concentrated fun" is the best two words that I can use to describe what my brain is going through in a day of testing.

Please translate the following phrase: Hafmeyjunum ekki skíði, þú kjánalegt manneskja!: That was F&*%^$g awesome!
