Arapahoe Basin to Sell Exhibition Lift Chairs

Arapahoe Basin is getting a facelift this off season, replacing the 32 year old Exhibition Lift -- which moves more people each season than any other lift on the mountain -- with a new high-speed detachable quad.

But with this progress comes a chance to buy a piece of the Colorado mountain's history: 110 of the lift's 118 chairs will be for sale until they run out for a cool $450. The other eight chairs will be donated to local non-profits for fundraising purposes.

All sales will be online (www.arapahoebasin.com) beginning May 1 at 8am, and purchased chairs will be available for pick up at the mountain on June 11 and 12.
