Chris Cary says it all at the beginning of this video we found on No Umbrella. For Maine coast surfers, the surf is often better in the middle of winter, and if you live on the southern Maine coast, the surf is closer than the ski hill.
No Umbrella is a small media outfit in Maine run by kayakers who like to do pretty much anything outside—including skiing. Its website is full of cool, quirky stuff from Maine and beyond and is worth an hour or so of your boss's time every day. Check out the video below.
