South Lake Tahoe, Calif. — Lake Tahoe's original dual mountain season pass is back for 2005/06 and with prices beginning as low as $299, after five visits passholders will be skiing and riding free for the rest of the season. For those who haven't heard, the Double Whammy is the passport to ski/ride some of Tahoe's finest terrain spread over 4,480 acres, 116 runs, 27 lifts, 11 freestyle terrain parks, 50 kilometers of cross country trails and snowshoeing terrain at both Sierra-at-Tahoe and Northstar-at-Tahoe.
The $299 Value Season Pass, the most popular Double Whammy product, allows adults to ski/ride any day excluding blackout dates at Sierra-at-Tahoe and Sunday through Friday excluding blackout dates at Northstar-at-Tahoe.
A limited season pass, valid any day at Sierra and any day excluding blackout dates at Northstar, is priced at $459 for adults. A young adult (ages 13-22) limited pass costs $249 and a child (5-12) limited pass is just $89.
Affordable child season pass prices make it easier than ever for families to enjoy a ski vacation. The limited pass, priced at $89, allows children to ski/ride any day at Sierra and any day excluding blackout dates at Northstar. The unlimited season pass valid any day of the season at both resorts is priced at $119.
Sierra and Northstar are enticing students to make the grade on the slopes this season with the College Double Whammy season pass. The price of the college pass is just $249, and it allows students of all ages to ski/ride any day at Sierra and any day excluding blackout dates at Northstar. Students must show a current college photo ID and proof of enrollment in a minimum of six class credits to qualify for this pass.
