Want to be a Skiing Magazine intern?

Skiing Magazine Editorial Internship
This is a 12-week-long internship (give or take) based at our editorial headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. The next available positions are for summer and fall 2010. Intern workload includes: article research, fact checking, proofreading, writing articles, calling in gear for testing, participating in staff editorial meetings, and interviewing subjects. We try to keep the grunt work (shipping, filing, etc) to a minimum. Skiing Magazine is a small staff (four editors and two art directors), so interns work closely with staffers. Interns should be dedicated, hard-working, conscientious, and fun-loving, with a career interest in writing and editing. Previous journalism experience—either with local publications or your student newspaper—is required. A passion for the sport of skiing is a definite plus. All internships are unpaid, but school credit is available. Email resume, cover letter, and writing samples to: megan@skiingmag.com.

Experience with Final Cut is a definite plus, as is a passion for skiing. All internships are unpaid, but school credit is available. Email resume, cover letter, and writing samples to: megan@skiingmag.com.
