Bryan Groenevelt sets new NASTAR record with 1,000+ runs
NASTAR added participation rankings during the 2003-04 season and Bryan is the first racers to eclipse the 1,000 race runs mark.
Bryan Groenevelt competes in Crystal Mountain's race league on Thursday's and he used the public NASTAR course to practice for the league races, but Bryan and his friends wanted to add a new competitive aspect to their favorite winter sport.
Bryan and his friends had looked at the NASTAR stats and realized that if they could do 20 NASTAR runs each time they went skiing they could own a new record after 50 days of skiing. This sounds manageable enough sitting at the bar talking about skiing, however, staying healthy and sticking to the task at hand is much more difficult.
