Skiing Magazine’s Spot-the-Error Limerick Contest
We've published a Skiing Resort Guide
That tells skiers like you where the pow hides
It’s full of hot scoops
But we made a big oops
Find it, and win a snow joyride
Skiing's annual Resort Guide just hit newsstands and ski shops. It's the inside line on secret powder stashes, naked ski races, the best après joints. But in the frenzy to crank this puppy out, we made a blunder in the Mt. Bachelor section. Tell us where and what it is, then create your best ski-related limerick. The person who correctly identifies the error and submits the best limerick will win three nights lodging and three days of skiing at Mt. Bachelor for him- or herself and three guests. The prize is valid anytime during the remainder of this ski season.
That's right—you, reader, reap the benefits of our mistake. And with a massive La Niña cycle predicted to pound the Pacific Northwest, now is the time to hit Mt. Bachelor. So put on your editor’s cap, brush up on your nonsense verse, and you might be on your way to epic powder in the Cascades.
For your chance to win, pick up Skiing's 2011 Resort guide at a newsstand or ski shop and correctly identify the error. Then completely fill out the web form below with your information, a brief description of the error, and silly ski-related limerick.
The best entries, as judged by the editors of Skiing, will be posted online. The very best will win the Mt. Bachelor vacation. Entries due Monday, January 3rd.
Big thanks to Seventh Mountain Resort and Mt. Bachelor for making this trip possible—and for still being our friends.
