Heads Up: Briko Forerunner Special

The Forerunner looks like a cross between Darth Vader's headpiece and Princess Leia's cinnamon-bun hairdo, but once you get it on, you tend to forget about its looks: For a full-coverage helmet, the Forerunner is mighty wearable. Hearing is better than in most large-shell lids, thanks to side holes that channel sound waves, along with a cooling current of air. Venting is via a fancy plastic slider that opens or closes airflow, but it's really kind of gratuitous: A helmet with this much coverage keeps you warm, and that's that. Standards: ASTM, CE.
