What do a 1913 Edwardian walking suit, Michael Jordan's rookie card, and New Jersey's Hidden Valley Ski Area have in common? They've all been on the auction block at eBay.com.

For 10 days last February, Hidden Valley was up for grabs online with the minimum acceptable offer set at $3.9 million. The resort's owner, Donald Begraft, hoped to take advantage of eBay's international reach and an auction fee that's downright miniscule compared to a realtor's commission. Though one bid did exceed the $3.9-million mark, it was later withdrawn, and Begraft subsequently switched to more traditional sales methods. At press time, Hidden Valley was still on the market.
