There are lots of ski movies out there nowadays. But there's something to be said about the original ski movie. That's Warren Miller. In 1949, he came out with a little movie called Light & Deep. Sixty years later, the company Warren Miller Entertainment still dominates the ski movie market with their annual fall tour that brings the snowy thrill to the masses. Dynasty, the 60th film, is touring now. You can check the schedule and buy tickets here. And while you're at it, check out this exclusive clip just rescued from the Warren Miller archives. It's original footage from Warren's first film.

The old footage looked great, like to see the whole film. think it would be a blast to see how the old days the new days compare.
hear, hear....let's hear it for the full length '49 classic online!! -- Monty
I'd love to see the whole film available, too. Online would be great. For sale or through video stores (even Netflix) would be alright, too. What're the chances?
Put all the old stuff online.
Great stuff, great skiing (no surprise) considering the gear, impressive! Yes I agree - would be nice to see the whole thing. Mark - Santa Fe
Imagine trying to ski with the equipment of that era, I don't think I would look as good as they.
We hear ya! Thanks for the feedback. I'll see if we can dig up the rest of the film. Stay tuned. —Megan
