We recently told you about the Powder Highway ski bum contest, where the best YouTube video wins three months of road tripping along Canada’s powder highway. Then we found out about yet another ski bum contest in BC. This time, the winner gets a three-month stay at Sun Peaks resort. Here are the rules: Only trained Facebook, Twitter, and blogging ski bums apply. Submit a 60-second video proving your ski bum proficiency and receive a free pass to Sun Peaks, lodging, food (a $5,000 CDN stipend), plus equipment and outerwear from Jardines in exchange for social site updates during your stay. The barter lasts for three months, starting January 4. Sun Peaks will provide a cell phone, laptop, camera, and VIP passes to events and parties that may be Twitter worthy.
Blogging aficionados must also pay for their flight to Kamloops, B.C., but Sun Peaks will arrange the winner’s return flight. One last caveat, finalists (announced November 19th) will be required for an interview and written-essay assessment. Applications for the contest are due by November 15th.
Oh yeah, and if for some reason you would be denied a Temporary Resident Visa (maybe some trouble with the law, such as a D.U.I or D.W.I), don’t bother.
