Comfort

Boots this wide aren’t meant to ski this well. To be sure, the Edge Plus series puts comfort before performance, but it’s nice to see a boot with such a voluminous fit that still sets a woman up to succeed with reasonably secure foot-hold. The shell plastic and the aluminum buckles are of relatively high quality for the category, and the flex provides just enough support.

If you’ve never been comfortable in a ski boot, don’t give up. Full Tilt’s new wider forefoot makes the already comfortable three-piece design even more plush. Add a thickly padded, extremely well-insulated liner, and it’s also the warmest boot available. High performance isn’t its forte, but it skis with reasonable competence.
* Note: The Mary Jane is a 4 on Full Tilt’s 1–10 flex scale.
