Thought snowboarding was for kids? Meet Banana George, the world's best-known, barefoot water-skier-who's also a rippin' snowboarder. OK, maybe not rippin', but the guy's 89 years old. Barring the getup, he's not a bad elder statesman: A retired inventor, he patented and got rich off a contoured athletic cup. He skied through the Depression and into old age; but once he tried snowboarding, at 75, he traded in two planks for one- and that was that. "I've gotten six inches of air," he boasts. "The girls all come over and say, 'Come up and see me sometime.'"
