Since moving to Whitefish, Lynn, 29, has been kicked by a horse, terrorized by grouse, burglarized by grizzly bears, and stared down by a surly gang of local moose. It's a good thing she's so sensible. "No matter how good you are," she says, "the whole key is, can you adapt to the situations that come up?" Despite all she's been through¿careers in both skiing and opera; residential time logged in Tehran, London, and Singapore; marriage¿she's waxing philosophical not about life, but about skiing. "You can re-create yourself on the slopes; you can go from bump basher to cruiser to racer," Fulton says. That open-mindedness has helped make her one of The Big Mountain's most sought-after instructors.
