<!--paging_filter--><!--paging_filter-->Skiing Magazine Editorial Internship

All summer and fall 2009 positions have been filled, but please keep us in mind for 2010.

This is a 12-week-long internship (give or take) based at our editorial headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. A stipend is available ($1,200 for three months), as is school credit for current students. The next available positions are for summer 09 and fall 09.

Intern workload includes: article research, fact checking, proofreading, writing articles, calling in gear for testing, participating in staff editorial meetings, and interviewing subjects. We try to keep the grunt work (shipping, filing, etc) to a minimum. Skiing Magazine is a small staff (four editors and two art directors), so interns work closely with staffers.

Interns should be dedicated, hard-working, conscientious, and fun-loving, with a career interest in writing and editing. Previous journalism experience—either with local publications or your student newspaper—is required. A passion for the sport of skiing is a definite plus.
