Outfitter: Trial Run, Julbo Micropore Blue

Produced in France since the late 1890s, Julbo glacier glasses have accompanied people on celebrated high-altitude expeditions for 100 years. As a photographer, I particularly liked the Julbo's neutral-tinted, optical-glass lenses, which I found crystal clear and distortion free, reducing eye strain during long hours of backcountry skiing and shooting. The new Micropore Blue model features a bronze frame that is differentially treated to make it rigid yet malleable for a snug, comfortable fit.
