This photo, of skier Brayden Brassey by photographer Steve Lloyd won third place in our Readers' Choice Awards for Skiing Magazine's Best Photo of the Year. “This is the most difficult shot I’ve ever taken. I had to guess where the skier would be in the air and point the outside flash to hit the skier and not the ice, so it didn’t wash out the deep blue color.”
