My Top-5 for the Backcountry Sale

1. Nordica Enforcer Ski: The Enforcer is one of those Max Rockatansky meets Rick Blaine novelties. Smooth, and calm under pressure but completely fucking relentless when trouble pops up in the middle of Corbet's or Sugarloaf's Snowfields or wherever else you might be. At $419 flat, these are a steal.

2. Salomon Falcon CS Pro Boot: Out of the box, these are one of the comfiest (especially given the low volume) and highest performance combos on the market. Buy it.

3. Cloudveil Down Patrol Jacket: I've been envious of this jacket since it came on the scene a few years ago. All terrain down jackets are all over the mountain, but few convey minimalism like Cloudveil's rendition. Backcountry is selling the hunter orange color way for 40% off.

4. K2 V12 Poles: A pole is a pole is a pole - yes, but these are light, have a smooth grip and are $29 instead of $100.

5. Spyder Old Fudd Jacket: There were 8 of these left a minute ago. Now there are 7. Performance wool plaid - who doesn't look good in that?
