Checked a couple of gear sites and they say wearing them around is a great way to find hot spots, etc before you get on the mountain. I also have a friend who says that doing squats in his boots not only is good to break in a boot, but keeps your weight where you want it for the excercise.
When I broke in my Nordicas I wore them around the house and then took them back to the shop and had some adjustments done. If the fit is good and the liner is right, you shouldn't have too much breaking in to do. Consider getting custom footbeds or at least SuperFeet to help keep you supported through the arch. Hope they are good for your game.
